Ch. Chasse-Spleen 2006
Ch. Chasse-Spleen，雖然並不是列級酒莊，又不位處於波爾多的著名產區如 Pauillac, Margaux 和 St. Julien，但我個人認為，它絕對是一間值得推介的酒莊。價格不高，但絕不比大部份列級酒莊遜色，從未令我失望過。
Ch. Chasse-Spleen 位處于 Moulis 區之內，而 Moulis 則位處于 St. Julien 和 Margaux 之間。如果我說 Ch. Chasse-Spleen 是 Moulis 區的最佳酒莊，相信同意的應比反對的多很多。Stephen Brook 就在他的 The Complete Bordeaux 有以下的評語。
The estate maintains a relatively high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon, which gives the wine a firm backbone. It is aged for up to eighteen months in forty per cent new barriques. The wine has been splendid for decades, producing a substantial volume of rich, gutsy, well-structured, traditional claret of great consistency and no hint of rusticity. It is clearly of classified growth status, and arguably the finest wine from either Moulis or Listrac.
這支 2006 Ch. Chasse-Spleen 雖然只售二百多元，但卻非常不錯。香味和入口後都有不錯的複雜性，黑加倫子、甘草、朱古力、雲呢拿和香料的味道。單寧幼細而成熟。味道純淨而帶優雅，沒有半點 rustic 的感覺。集中度亦相當不錯。物超所值。

Is this wine too early to drink? Do you recommend to cellar it for longer?
Robert Parker has said that this wine is comparable to those 4th growth wines. Did you ever tried Poujeaux in the same region? I just bought that 2009 future of Poujeaux, but my friend told me that I should have bought Chasse Spleen.
Hi William, yes This wine surely has the ability to age longer and will improve. Yet, I still find it a pleasurable drink now. So, I’m having no problem in drinking it now. I haven’t tried Poujeaux before but knowing this is also a very good chateau in Moulis. Many consider these two as the best in this region. They are also having similar soil, so I guess both should be offering good value for money.
where can i buy it in Hong Kong?
For Chasse Spleen 2006, it seems available in Red Wine Cellar (http://www.redwinehk.com/front/bin/home.phtml). However, it is selling at $370 which I think it is selling too expensive. Chasse Spleen 2007 is available in Watsons at $305 (https://www.watsonswine.com/WebShop/BrowseProductDetail.do?prdid=184470). I bought Chasse Spleen 2004 and 2006 at only about HK$250 before.
