Wandering around Park’n Supermarket and take a casual look at its wine collection, I found this bottle of 2008 Le Bordeaux de Maucaillou is at a special price of $88.

In the whole Moulis region, there are three producers that I trusted highly.  They are Chasse-Spheen, Poujeaux and Maucaillou.  Initially I thought this is the second wine of Maucaillou but after searching the web, the second wine of Maucaillou is called N2 de Maucaillou.  I’m not sure what is this or is it the third wine.  I only know it is also produced by Maucaillou which give me certain level of confidence.  For $88, why not just buy a bottle and try?

Decanted for around half an hour, the wine has attractive aromas of red fruits, dried herbs and hints of floral and spices.  Quite elegant and with acceptable level of concentration and complexity, I think this wine is really delivering very good value for money.  For this price, how can I criticize at anything with this level of quality?

Purchase Park’n Supermarket  (Original $118 / Special $88)
