Searching for a red wine to accompany my Japanese grilled meat dinner. Given the smoke that will have during the course of dinner, I opt for cheaper wine. Drinking an expensive one really seems a waste of money as I will not be able to fully appreciate the wine. In addition, I would like to opt for a fuller and bolder wine as I afraid wine too elegant would be overpowered by the grilled meat.
Boekenhoutskloof The Chocolate Block from South Africa is always a wine I like given its very good value for money. Yes, the wine is forward and fruit-driven. It even has an alcohol level of over 14.5%. Yet, I found it is of a rather restrained style among the Buy Cialis Super Active+ Online Buy cipro online Pharmacy No Prescription Needed New World reds. For less than HK$200, it is a good choice.
I have previously recommended 2008 The Chocolate Block and the vintage I tried this time is 2009. Comparing to 2008, the wine is made by grapes of similar proportion. It is a syrah-dominated wine. Flavours are mainly red fruits, black fruits and violet. Light in tannins but still with a good structure. This wine really made the dinner so much more enjoyable!
