Fine Wine Magazine is a Finland publication which is quite influencial.  Recently, the magazine has classified Napa Valley Wineries similar to Bordeaux classification.  The article also explains the pros and cons of different classification systems.  Finally, it was decided the rating will be based on the following factors: the wine’s quality 45%, its price 20%, the terroir 20%, the winemaking philosophy 10%, and history 5%.  In order to avoid vintage difference, wines from multiple vintages will be tasted.  And also for this reason, the winery must have at least 15 years of history.
