試過了 2008 Neudorf Toms Black Pinot Noir，今次再試 Neudorf 較高等級的 2009 Neudorf Moutere Pinot Noir。2009 年的紐西蘭 Pinot Noir 被英國雜誌 Decanter 評為品質極高的一年。而這 Neudorf 更是紐西蘭 Nelson 地區得分最高的葡萄酒生產商，自然令我對它有一些的期望。關係 Neurdorf 的一些資料，可參看 Neudorf Toms Black Pinot Noir。
和 Toms Black 一樣，Moutere 擁有極高的香氣，而且一下杯已經立即散發出來。風格上也和 Toms Black 極為相似，有點粗獷而不太屬於優雅的種類。山楂、紅苺、香水、乾花、紫羅蘭、野味、乾菌等的味道，複雜性明顯比 Toms Black 為高。入口帶甜紅果的味道，充滿力量和集中度。酒體結構結實，單寧非常幼細和成熟。入口感覺比聞的時候多了些優雅。餘韻長但有些酒精頗高的感覺。
一支高品質的紐西蘭的 Pinot Noir，很有興趣買多一些陳年，看它怎樣發展！
Decanter 4 stars (18/20) Neudorf owner Tim Finn builds wine for the long haul and not for immediate consumption. This taut, elegant and very powerful Pinot needs time to show off its full potential. Drink: 2013 – 2022. Alc: 14%
Bob Campell MV (92/100) Haunting floral perfume and cherry, red berry and violet flavours with delicately drying and slightly peppery tannins. Supple, elegant wine in a bone dry and moderately burgundian style.

其實我也有留意這枝酒，但由於它並沒有特價，所以還沒有一試。其實我也想過買一些NZ Pinot Noir陳年一下飲用。但因為之前曾經試過保留了一兩枝NZ Pinot三四年後再飲，但發覺它們部份果味流失及單寧的苦澀經陳年後反而露了出來，所以除非是有信心的如Felton Road Block 3/5，也不想用空間來儲存NZ酒。畢竟香港寸今尺土，酒櫃空間亦有限，但我近來考慮買兩三箱mixed cases NZ Pinot Noir放在Watsons storage，未知是否值得。
I also worried that NZ Pinot Noir doesn’t have the ageing potential as Burgundy. However, I guess with the improving quality of NZ Pinot, it may worth a try and hopefully it does improve and offer a good alternative to Burgundy. I got a cellar storage and will probably store a case of different NZ Pinot and see how they evolve.
