Having recommended 2002 Faiveley Nuits St. George 1er Les Porets St-Georgelast time, I would like to recommend the second wine which I really enjoyed recently.  However, I did have reservation in making this recommendation.  Firstly, this is not a Buy Diflucan Online Pharmacy No Prescription Needed very well-known producer.  Secondly, it is coming from an underrated village.  Still, since I really quite enjoyed this wine, I think I should recommend it no matter how.

Actually buying this wine is kind of unexpected as well.  I’m dining out that day but have no wine Buy Penisole online without prescription with me.  So, I jumped into Watsons Wine Cellar and checked if there is any wine on discount that seems interesting. Since I want a Burgundy red and this is on special, so I just bought it and have a try.

Monthelie lies between Meursault and Volnay.  In term of fame, it is much lower than both Meursault and Volnay.  For this underrated village, it is generally believed that a warmer vintage would be better.  It is therefore not surprising to find that 2003 (a very hot vintage) is commanding a higher price than 2002.

For this producer, I don’t have much information except it is recommended by Hugh Johnson in his pocket wine book as a reliable producer in Monthelie.

The wine has a complex and good (if not pronounced) nose of sour cherry, plum, mineral and mint.  In palate, it is very concentrated and intense with ripe fruit.  Not an elegant style and quite rustic feel.  Aftertaste is very long.

For about HK$300, this is a good deal and I immediately bought another bottle.  Unfortunately, it is more than HK$400 now.
