Following my search of good value Burgundy, I finally drank the three wines chosen on last Friday! Are they good? Yes, I’m glad that none of them disappointed me at this price level.
Among the three, the most impressive one is Hubert Lamy Saint Aubin 1er Derriere Cbez Edouard Blanc 2005. Very fresh and pronounced floral, citrus and wood nose. Hubert Lamy Saint Aubin 1er Cru les Castets 2005. Refreshing nose of red fruit with hint of plum. Good concentration and intensity in palate. A very enjoyable and attractive bottle if not overly complex.
Enjoying good Burgundy really doesn’t necessary have to cost a fortune.
